Shearer is one of the main equipment in fully mechanized coal mining face, high yield and efficiency of fully mechanized mining technology is developing rapidly, an urgent requirement is that shearer with high reliability and good dynamic properties, therefore, to explore related theoretical system and research methods to study the dynamic characteristics of shearer is necessary. Virtual prototyping technology is a new technology in the field of design and manufacture, provides an effective way to study of dynamic characteristics of shearer, this article will be the introduction of virtual prototyping technology to the shearer design, through the kinematics, dynamics simulation, provides a reliable basis for the shearer cutting design.
