输电线路是电力系统的重要组成部分，输电线路管理的信息化是电力系统信息化的 重要内容之一。近年来，随着电网运行要求的提高和各种软硬件技术的发展，电网数据 信息的采集量迅速增加，凸现了传统输电线路管理软件在信息处理能力上的相对局限 性。如何解决这一问题成为当代电网信息化进程中的重要课题之一。 本文就这一课题进行了研究，并阐述了新一代输电线路管理系统——三维输电线路 地理信息系统。本系统以三维地理信息技术、虚拟现实技术和科学可视化技术为支撑， 真实地再现了输电线路周围的地形地貌、输电设备，实现了输电线路信息和地理信息很 好的结合，从而实现了输电线路、电力设备的浏览、编辑、管理、查询和图表的显示输 出等功能。该系统能高效、方便地为规划、施工、运行、管理部门提供输电线路的分布、 走向，剖面图等地理位置信息和其它各种专业属性数据。从而实现信息的科学管理和综 合分析，并提供辅助决策，为输电线路管理带来全新的方法。
