随着汽车技术的不断发展，为了适应日趋激烈的市场竞争，汽车厂商推出新产品的速度不断加快，要求也不断升级，产品更新换代节奏越来越快。对汽车零部件供应商的产品开发水平及速度提出了更高的要求。传统的经验型产品开发流程由于其周期长、成 本高的缺点已远远不能满足客户的进度要求。在这样的形势下，项目管理作为一种先进的管理方式在汽车及零部件行业被广泛应用。基于项目管理平台的产品开发使不同组织间的合作更加顺畅，沟通更加快捷。项目的进度管理由于直接关系企业的市场竞争力及快速反应能力成为了项目管理活动中的重点。 本文以 X 公司某款新型座椅的开发项目为背景，结合我国汽车零部件企业的特点，以现有的项目管理及进度管理理论为指导，采用理论研究和实证研究相结合的方法，应用进度管理的基本原理，对 X 公司新型座椅开发的进度管理进行研究。 本文对产品开发项目进度管理研究的选题背景进行了详细的说明， 充分论述了本文研究的实际意义，并且对国内外研究现状进行解析，提出了本论文的研究方法及路径。阐述了项目管理及进度管理理论的基本知识及相关理论如进度管理的系统理论、优化理论等，为后面的案例研究打下理论基础。结合 X 公司的项目管理体系及 NTS 产品开发项目案例，运用项目进度管理的相关原理和方法对项目从活动定义及排序、工期估算、进度安排、进度控制等四个主要问题点进行了分析研究，科学分析项目计划，优化进度计划，制定出更为科学的进度管理方案。对 NTS 项目的进度管理效果进行评价，总结了 X 公司在 NTS 项目进度管理中的经验及不足，进而提出相应的改进建议。在 X 公司项目管理现状的基础上，指出企业管理方面的提升空间。为汽车零部件行业的产品开发项目进度管理作出贡献。
