实现社会和谐，建设美好社会，始终是人类孜孜以求的一个社会理想，也是包括中国共产党在内的马克思主义政党不懈追求的社会理想。根据马克思主义基本原理和我国社会主义建设的实践经验，根据新世纪新阶段我国经济社会发展的新要求和我国社会出现的新趋势新特点，我们所要建设的社会主义和谐社会，应该是民主法治、公平正义、诚信友爱、充满活力、安定有序、人与自然和谐相处的社会。我国是统一的多民族国家，各族人民大团结是国家生存、发展和繁荣的生命线，是战胜一切敌对势力的决定性因素。可以毫不夸张的说，民族团结对构建社会主义和谐社会具有重要意义，民族团结就是和谐。中华人民共和国成立以后，党和政府继承了历史上民族大团结、民族融合的优良传统，从长远出发，以大局为重，确立以民族区域自治为我国的基本政治制度。在此基础上，又制定和颁布了一系列有利于民族团结、有利于少数民族发展的具体方针和政策，从根本上保证了我国各民族之间能够真正做到和睦相处、平等相待、共同发展。 大学生是祖国的未来，是新一代的建设者和接班人，是我国建设富强、民主、文明的社会主义现代化的生力军，也是西方敌对势力在意识形态领域与我们争夺的焦点，他们对祖国的前途负有特殊的使命和责任。尤其是民族大学生，他们作为未来的民族干部，是党和政府与各族群众沟通的重要桥梁和纽带，是党和国家开展民族自治地区各项工作的中坚力量。对非民族高校的民族大学生日常思想政治教育做出更富针对性和有效性的改进，直接关系到民族团结和国家稳定，而民族团结和国家稳定就是构建社会主义和谐社会的前提。作为高校教育工作者，如何通过各种有效途径正确引导民族大学生的思想、行为，把民族大学生培养成为维护民族团结、祖国统一、社会稳定的先锋，使他们成为思想道德高尚、政治素质过硬、专业技术扎实、身心健康、德智体全面发展的实用人才，是非民族高校面临的重要任务。 本文主要通过文献法、问卷调查法、经验法展开分析研究。采用文献法收集国内外在本研究领域的成果、专著、文献，并对所收集资料进行研究、对比和筛选；对西安科技大学、西安建筑科技大学、西安电子科技大学、长安大学、西安交通大学、西北工业大学和陕西师范大学7所高校的大学生总数、民族大学生总数及民族大学生占全校大学生的比例做了详细调查；并采用问卷调查法对以上7所高校的大一到大四四个年级的民族大学生进行了关于非民族院校民族大学生现状的问卷调查，加以前人的研究成果，总结归纳出当前非民族高校民族大学生的现状，根据非民族高校民族大学生的特点找出民族大学生日常思想政治教育的特殊性，指出目前对民族大学生日常思想政治教育中存在的问题，并针对这些问题提出了更具针对性和实效性的具体措施，对改进非民族高校民族大学生日常思想政治教育的方式方法具有非常重要的现实意义。
