随着中国经济的迅速发展，全球经济发展重心开始转向东部亚太地区，石化发展重心也随之东移。目前，石化行业已成为我国经济的支柱产业，介绍和引进国外最新石化技术对我国石化工业的发展具有极大的参考价值。本翻译实践选取《现代石化技术》为实践素材，以语义翻译和交际翻译理论为指导，探究科技类文本翻译的有效途径。

语义翻译的重点在于确保语义的准确性以及源语句式结构的严谨性，保证再现科技文本的文体风格。交际翻译的重点在于确保译语读者完全理解目标文本，保证实现交际目的。语义翻译和交际翻译的结合，既能确保译文的科学性与准确性，又能确保译文达到高度可读性。本报告梳理了翻译实践过程中遇到的主要问题，并提出了具体的解决方法。词汇层面，为最大程度达到语义准确性，译者采用了移译法、措辞法、释义法和转换法；句式层面，为提高译文的可读性，译者采用了顺译法、逆译法、分译法等翻译技巧；语篇层面，为确保译文衔接顺畅，逻辑缜密，译者综合采用了结构调整、重复等多种翻译技巧。

本翻译实践报告旨在为后续石化领域的翻译提供借鉴，推动语义翻译和交际翻译理论在石化翻译领域中的应用。

With the rapid growth of China's economy, the development focus of the global economy has begun to shift to the eastern Asia-Pacific region, and so does the petrochemical development. At present, the petrochemical industry has formed the backbone of China's economy, so the introduction of the latest foreign petrochemical technologies is of great reference value to the development of China's petrochemical industry. The translation material in this practice is excerpted from Modern Petrochemical Technology. Under the guidance of semantic translation and communicative translation theories, the translator explored effective ways to translate scientific and technological texts.

The focuses of the semantic translation theory are to ensure the semantic accuracy of words and phrases, the rigor of the syntactic structure, and the style reproduction of the scientific and technical texts. The focuses of the communicative translation theory are to ensure that the translation is fully understood by target readers, and the communication purpose is achieved. The combination of semantic translation and communicative translation theories assures that the translation is scientific, accurate, and highly readable. In this report, the translator sorted out the problems encountered in translation practice and proposed corresponding solutions. At the lexical level, in order to maximize semantic accuracy, the translation techniques used by the translator included transference, diction, paraphrase, and conversion; at the syntactic level, in order to improve the readability of the translation, the techniques adopted by the translator included linear translation, reverse translation, division, and so on; at the discoursal level, the translator adopted various translation techniques like restructuring and repetition comprehensively to make the translation highly logical and coherent.

This report aims to provide a reference for subsequent petrochemical translations and promote the application of semantic translation and communicative translation theories in petrochemical translation.
