目前的计算机网络规模不断扩大,复杂性不断增加,异构程度以及对灵活性和可扩展性的要求也越来越高。在这种情况下,传统的SNMP网络管理逐步暴露出其基于管理者/代理者(Manager/Agent)模型的局限性,这种集中式的网络管理方式缺乏足够的灵活性和智能性,很容易造成网络瓶颈,这就需要引入新的管理方法和体系结构。
移动Agent技术的出现给网络管理带来了一次革命,移动Agent的高智能性和强大的远程数据处理能力,可明显减少通过网络传输的数据量,减轻管理站的负担;它与平台无关,可移植性好,可用于管理大型分布式异构网络;它的功能可定制性,能提供灵活的网络管理功能,使网络具有动态的可编程能力。将移动Agent引入网络管理系统,充分发挥移动Agent的优势,很好地弥补了基于SNMP的网络管理系统的不足,大大提高了网络管理系统的灵活性和可扩展性,降低了网络管理负载和延时,使整个网络管理系统的性能得到很好的改善。
本文根据移动Agent技术的特点和现代网络管理的要求,采用了一种基于移动Agent与SNMP相结合的混合网络管理结构,并利用IBM公司的Aglet移动平台设计了系统的原型。该体系结构在充分应用移动Agent优点的同时很好地向上兼容了现有的基于SNMP的网络管理。文中重点设计和实现了网络管理中的性能管理模块,通过设计一个Data Collection Agent去获取设备系统信息,论述了移动代理技术在性能管理中的应用。在每一部分的设计实现中,详细讨论了相关的关键技术以及这些关键技术在Aglet移动平台中的实现。同时,在实现中成功地将面向对象的开发方法和设计模式技术应用到各功能模块的设计中,使得系统平台的结构具有良好的可扩展性和适应性。并且通过理论分析了系统的性能。此模型的提出对以移动代理为基础的网管系统的应用与研究提供了一定的参考价值和实用意义。

At present,the scale and complexity of computer networks have been expanding,the demands of heterogeneous,<font color='red'>flexible</font> and expansively are more and more urgent.In this case, tradition SNMP network management appeals its weak point,it’s based on Manager/Agent Model.This centralized management has little flexibility and intelligent,it’s easily to cause traffic bottleneck,and hard to fit the development of network,this needs a new management and architecture.
The mobile Agent technology gives a revolution to network management.It has the characters of mobility,intelligence,parallelism,autonomy,and continuity.Besides,its high intelligence and powerful remote data process ability,can remarkable reduce the load of network traffic and management station.Parallelism can balance the traffic,optimize network performance.It can runs on many platforms,and use to manage huge,distributed, heterogeneous network.It also can be customized,give a flex way to manage.The mobile Agent technology will cover the shortage of SNMP based managements,obviously add up the flexibility and expansibility,minimize the traffic delay and load,and greatly improve the performance of network management system.
This thesis presents a hybrid environment where network management application uses mobile agents to interact with SNMP agent via SNMP Protoeol.The Prototype implementation is also discussed in IBMAglet.By designing an Data Collection Agent which is used to collect the information of system,this thesis shows how mobile agent works in performance managemen.Some important technology of system is also analyzed detailedly and implemented in Aglet.Meanwhile,the development method of Objeet一Oriented and design patteirn technology are successfully used to develop the function modules of system so that the architecture of system is very <font color='red'>flexible</font> and scalable.These models provide a reference and practical values to apply and research of the management systems based on mobile agent technology.
