大学文化建设是近年来引人注目的热门话题。在我国, 大学文化是社会主义先进文化的重要组成部分。面对知识经济时代，大学逐渐从社会发展的边缘走向社会中心，在构建和谐社会，建设有中国特色的社会主义文化时代背景下，大学文化已经成为文化力的中坚和综合国力的重要体现。大学文化的自身建设及大学文化的丰富和创新，为先进文化建设提供新的机遇。在全面建设小康社会的新历史时期,推进和谐社会发展 建设社会主义和谐文化，进而开展大学文化研究, 推进大学文化建设, 是一项具有基础性、战略性、前瞻性的工作。 　　本研究主要采用文献法、调查法、系统分析法，从理论层面和实际操作层面入手，把推进特色大学文化建设的问题，放在当今的时代背景下研究，结合构建和谐社会，建立社会主义和谐文化的主题，把大学文化建设问题提高到关乎大学的全面发展，人才的培养和社会和谐发展的重要问题来系统研究。力图从提高大学竞争力，文化软实力以及构建和谐社会的视角，探索出一条符合社会发展规律，紧扣时代发展背景，具有创新意义的特色大学文化发展之路。 　　全文首先介绍了课题的研究背景与研究状况，以及研究意义；然后通过阐述什么是文化以及大学文化的基本涵义及理论依据，提出构建时代背景下特色大学文化体系的必要性和紧迫性；并结合我国社会现实情况，给出构建特色大学文化体系的内容、总体框架、运行机制以及实现途径。最后，作为结束语，对本课题做一个研究展望和总结，借此论文的研究，以期能在高校文化建设问题研究上有所贡献，对高校特色文化建设的实际工作研究有积极的借鉴意义。
