BIM(Building Information Modelling) (建筑信息模型) 就是建筑业应用数字技术的集中代表。BIM以其对设计与施工一体化建造能力的有效提升成为 EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction,设计采购施工一体化)项目的首选技。

In recent years construction stakeholders are constantly committed to improving building productivity through digital technology BIM (Building Information Modelling building information model) is the centralized representative of the application of digital technology in the construction industry. BIM has become the first choice technology of EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction design procurement and construction project because of its effective improvement of the integrated construction capacity of design and construction. The study of the application of BIM in EPC project in Pakistan can promote the process of building digitization in Pakistan and contribute to the development of countries along Belt and Road Initiative. This paper uses the method of literature analysis and case study first of all on the basis of analysing the typical evaluation model indicators combined with the characteristics of Pakistan determine the factors that affect the project BIM ability.

Secondly through interviews and professional research the factors weight and the weight of BIM application and competency rate are studied and determined and the maturity model of EPC project BIM application in Pakistan is constructed.

Thirdly the measurement method of each index of the model is determined and a questionnaire is designed to investigate the application level of BIM in the project the existing problems and the ranking of assisting stakeholders to solve the problems in order to verify the effectiveness of the model and analyse the empirical research results and put forward suggestions for improvement in view of the existing problems. Through the research we can clarify the current situation of engineering construction in Pakistan and the current situation of BIM application of EPC project make potential customers understand the advantages of BIM improve the achievement of the objectives of engineering construction stakeholders and contribute to the performance improvement of construction enterprises.
