船舶生产是技术密集型和劳动力密集型相结合的生产,产品复杂,制造工程量大。一艘船舶常常自重数万吨,由数万个零部件构成。目前船厂不管是数控加工还是手动加工的船体零部件,对其进行合格检验一般采用的都是对样方法。这种方法费时费力费料,且效率低下,因此船体零部件的检验手段迫切需要改进。应用快速、精确且无接触的检测方法来采集、处理、检测待测对象的外形数据,同时利用计算机存储、分类、管理、组织这些零件数据,成为先进造船工艺的自身要求。

Ship production is technology-intensive and labor-intensive combination of production, product complexity, a large quantity of manufacturing engineering. Self-respect of a ship often includes tens of thousands of tons, being composed by the tens of thousands of parts and components constitute. At present, the shipyard whether manual or CNC machining parts and components for processing, pass their hull tests by using in sampling methods.This method is laborious and time-consuming material costs, and inefficient, so the hull parts of the test means an urgent need to improve. Application of rapid, accurate and non-contact testing methods to the collection, processing, object shape detection test data, while the use of computer storage, classification, management, the organization of the parts data,becomes the advanced technology of its own shipbuilding requirements.
Chinese current model ship is in a critical period in the next few years, the urgent need of detection efficiency in Chinese large ship enterprises is bound to become even more urgent and give more opportunities for such equipment widely using in shipyards. In addition, the reality of the modern manufacturing demand for digital as well as the detection means of access to non-contact scanning phase also provided a good opportunity for this instrument’s widely use in the manufacturing sector.
Measure instruments in the domestic scene, such as laser scanners and other high-precision measuring instruments, is to rely on imports, which is very expensive, basically million yuan.Nowadays our country do not have its own domestic technology, based on the principle of three-dimensional laser scanner. In most industrial measurement field, when the size reached more than 10 meters, the traditional measurement methods are less efficient and become increasingly unsuited to modern precision and fast mode of production.
In order to fill in the large-size high-precision measurement technology gaps, we has an urgent need to develop Chinese three-dimensional laser scanner which has our own intellectual property rights and the corresponding procedures to promote the development of advanced manufacturing in China, this paper include: 1) The needs analysis of Shipyard manufacture and the advantages of three-dimensional laser scanner in Shipyard manufacture 2) The overall design of marine three-dimensional laser scanner and the optical viewfinder system 3) The research of Marine three-dimensional laser scanner point cloud data processing algorithms and the preparation of procedures.
