虚拟现实(VR—Virtual Reality)技术是一种新的人机交互技术,也是近年来发展很快的一门学科,其目标是使用户置身于一个由计算机生成的虚拟环境(VE—Virtual Environment)中,其基础与核心是构造由三维视景组成的“真实”虚拟环境以及与这个环境进行交互。虚拟现实技术中视景(虚拟环境)的建模(Modeling)与绘制(Rendering)始终是研究的重点,也是首要考虑的核心问题。
在三维地理信息系统(Geography Information System,GIS)中,快速、逼真地模拟现实场景是研究的重要内容之一。因此如何获得精确的场景数据和逼真的场景显示是研究的关键问题。论文对三维地理信息系统中模型的数据采集和构建方法进行了基础研究,采用OpenGL三维图形技术和基于四叉树的区域分层显示技术,在程序中实现了一个可针对具体模型操作和查询分析的三维地形模拟系统。
论文将虚拟现实技术同地理信息系统相结合,利用虚拟现实技术提供的建模和场景交互显示方法同地理信息系统提供的基础数据相结合,使用VC++6.0和OpenGL进行虚拟现实模拟。为了取得好的效果,利用了许多图像显示技术,使场景具有三维编辑、数据导入、模型修改、场景漫游等功能。由于研究内容涉及很多方面,在论文中着重对地形的模拟进行研究。

VR—Virtual Reality technology is a new ecology between people and computer. It is a subject developing fast recently. Its arm is to put user in a Virtual Environment which is made by computer. Its basic and center point is to obtain virtual environment and communicate with the environment by using 3D viewer .The view modeling and view rendering are important for research in VR.
In the three-dimension Geography Information System , the high-efficient and high-life like simulation realistic scene is one of the most important focuses. So how to obtain the accurate data and life like scene displaying is a key problem ,This paper studies the model data collection and model construction in 3D GIS , and using OpenGL three –dimensional technology and region displaying by layers based on Quad-trees to reach a high fidelity 3D GIS platform.
In the text , we make VR and GIS together , and we compound basic data from GIS with VR modeling and rendering . In the article we imitate the VR reality with VC++6.0 and OpenGL,for better efficient we use many graphic technology and make the view with 3D editing,data importing,model modifying,view traveling functions. There are many subjects concerned in the text .The terrain stimulation is the most important study.
