当今的设计工作者缺乏的不是技巧,而是一种必不可少的精神食粮,只有有文化底蕴,有精神内含的设计工作者才能创作出给人精神力量的作品。因此,笔者对比研究中国先秦和古希腊艺术,旨在为今天的艺术实践寻找所需的精神动力,为走出人文精神失落带来的艺术困境奉献一砖一瓦。这就决定了本文的研究务必从文化的角度入手,因为艺术只是文化的一个分支,其产生和发展与文化的关系密不可分,只有综合研究历史、考古、宗教、哲学等等领域的知识,才能真正抓住艺术的本质。

轴心期理论是西方学术界比较熟悉的,中国也有一些学者引用此概念。轴心期的重要引起了无数中外学人的关注,他们在政治、经济、哲学等领域展开了中西对比研究,但在艺术上作系统研究的似乎还没有。因此,选定轴心期的中西艺术作对比研究是极有价值的。

中国先秦与古希腊人的觉醒方式的差异是艺术形式产生差异的根源,各自的艺术风格同时呈现完全不同的面貌。选取中国先秦和古希腊最具代表性的器物及特征之比较,并对其美学思想分别展开论述,再通过中国先秦商周青铜器和古希腊的陶瓶典型作品对比分析造型和纹样设计作为例证来说明本文的观点。研究传统的目的是为了现代,为了从传统中吸取精华,回归自然,借鉴理性精神,补足今天的艺术实践。

What today's designers lack is not skills, but an essential spiritual food. Only designers with cultural heritage and spiritual connotation can create works that give people spiritual strength. Therefore, our comparative study of Chinese pre-Qin and ancient Greek art aims to find the spiritual power needed for today's art practice and contribute a brick by brick to get out of the artistic dilemma caused by the loss of humanistic spirit. This determines that our research must start from the perspective of culture, because art is only a branch of culture, and its emergence and development are closely related to culture. Only by comprehensively studying the knowledge in the fields of history, archaeology, religion, philosophy and so on, can we really grasp the essence of art.

The theory of axis period is familiar in western academic circles, and some Chinese scholars have quoted this concept. Professor Feng Tianyu put forward the theory of "the spirit of the yuan" on the basis of his research. He believed that the spirit of this period is like the most fundamental and the most essential element of human beings, as can be imagined. The importance of the axis period has attracted the attention of countless Chinese and foreign scholars. They have carried out comparative research between China and the West in the fields of politics, economy and philosophy, but there seems to be no systematic research on art. Therefore, it is of great value to select the comparative study of Chinese and Western art in the axis period.

The difference of awakening ways between pre Qin China and ancient Greece is the root of the difference of artistic forms, and their artistic styles present completely different faces at the same time. Select the comparison of the most representative artifacts and characteristics between China's Pre-Qin and ancient Greece, and discuss their aesthetic ideas respectively. Then, through the comparative analysis of the typical works of bronze vessels in China's pre-Qin, Shang and Zhou Dynasties and ancient Greece, the modeling and pattern design are taken as examples to illustrate our point of view. The purpose of studying tradition is to modernism, in order to absorb the essence from tradition, return to nature, and draw on the rational spirit to make up for today's art practice.
