Poverty is a complex system engineering problems, and it can be quantified through operationalization poverty index in order to study the problem of poverty quantitatively.Poverty measurement involves two basic problems: one is the determination of poverty standards; another is the options of poverty index. In order to meet the new demands of the national poverty precise identification of individual poor regions at the present stage, aiming at the flaw existing in poverty quantization method such as evaluation unit is not fine, statistical data is not precise enough to assess the results are not accurate, this study attempts to abandon the traditional method which relies solely on statistical data to measure and recognize poverty, we will construct the multidimensional poverty measure index system based on the theory of the spatial and differential laws of geography, on the basis of geographical conditions monitoring data, combined with the social economy and the survey data; then we will use the spatial grid technology and GIS spatial analysis technology to introduce the regular grid and irregular grid for measuring poverty of scale space. At last, the accurate assessment and measurement technology system of poverty can be built. This paper takes the key counties for poverty reduction of Liupanshan area Huining county, Gansu province as the research sample, through the comparison of the results obtained by multidimensional poverty evaluation system in this paper and the actual results, we can verify the scientific and precision of our index system and measure methods . In theory, this study is expected to enrich the space geography research content, develop the new approach of the extension space poverty; In practice, this study can provide technical support for poor precision of recognition and provide the forward-looking basis for aiming at poverty objects of accurate poverty alleviation decision-making.
